How guests view Disney World
This is a list about how the "typical Guest" sees Disney World...I'm sure we can all relate to this..I hope you enjoy it!
-Fastpasses, Kidcot, and the Friendship Boats all cost money
-Every ride has a fastpass
-The 3:00 parade is actually the name of the parade. It starts at 5:00. Sometimes. And by sometimes we mean never.
-The big geodesic sphere in Epcot is called "The Giant Golf Ball"
-Signs are not meant to be read; they are just there for show
-Just because a person is wearing a ridiculous outfit and a name tag doesn't mean they work here; you must ask them first
-The numbers on wait time signs are not actually wait times; be sure to ask a Cast Member standing by those signs what the wait time is
-The restrooms aren't always where the "Restroom" sign is
-Just because there is a designated stroller parking area, doesn't mean you have to park your stroller there; you're free to park wherever you'd like, even if you're blocking a walkway. The same goes for smoking areas; the park is yours to smoke freely in
-Height limits are more like height ranges; your 46" child CAN ride a 48" limit ride
-Feel free to stand up or exit your ride vehicle at any time during the ride; Disney World is so safe, nothing will go wrong
-The animals on Jungle Cruise are real and the animals on Kilimanjaro Safaris are animatronic
-At the Magic Kingdom, all animals, even the thousands of birds seemingly "roaming" the park, are audio-animatronics
-Ignore the signs; Splash Mountain and Kali River Rapids will NOT get you wet, and It's Tough to be a Bug will NOT make your small child scream
-The Great Movie Ride is in fact just a big room for screening various movie previews; it does not continue onto a ride, despite the fact that it is called the Great Movie RIDE
-The Seas with Nemo and Friends is actually just a place to watch the film, "Finding Nemo"
-The creatures that look like dolphins in the dolphin tank are actually sharks
-The flying Tinkerbell during Wishes is an animatronic
-Yes, you actually do shrink in Honey I Shrunk the Audience
-Although trash cans may be used for trash, the ground is another excellent place to dispose of your trash
-As an alternative to the many swimming pools on property, the Rivers of America is another excellent place to go for a swim
-There are not real people inside the character costumes; feel free to beat up, molest, or do whatever you'd like to the fur characters
-The monorail will take you anywhere you want to go on WDW property
-The park with the big castle is called Disney World
-The mansion ride at MK is called Mansion of Terror, the drop tower at DHS is The Haunted Tower, the nighttime show at DHS is called Fantastic, the roller coaster at AK is called Mount Everest, the 3D show at MK is Mickey's Phillarmonic, and the car ride at Epcot is called Fast Track
-The land in MK is called Tomorrow World, and the land in Epcot is Futureland
-The park will stay open past closing time if you NEED to get on just one more ride
-Fast passes guarantee a zero minute wait
-Randy, Paula, Simon, and Kara are at the American Idol experience every day, despite the fact they do a live show in Hollywood every Tuesday and Wednesday
-The description of a ride in park maps or in front of the ride are usually false; it's best to ask a Cast Member what the ride is about
-When a Cast Member says no flash photography, they are only joking; flash away!
-Speaking of flashing, Disney World parks are not family parks, so no one will mind if you flash or flip off the camera taking ride photos, and PDA and/or loud swearing are encouraged at WDW
-All boats, cars, trucks, and buses on WDW property run on a track
